  • In-person sessions take place at The Center for Mind, Body, and Play, located at 3345 Whitfield Avenue in the Clifton Gaslight District. The space is located in a historic mansion that is warm, welcoming, and designed to support a grounded and comfortable therapy experience.

  • While my preference is in person, some modalities of therapy and IADC-EMDR, can occur virtually.  I offer secure online sessions for clients located in Ohio.

  • Yes. You may park on-site, use street parking, or park in the bank parking lot across the street. All options are convenient and within a short walking distance to the office.

  • Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and internal patterns using a blend of talk therapy, somatic awareness, and guided reflection. You set the pace, and I provide support, structure, and trauma-informed guidance.

  • IFS is a gentle, effective therapy model based on the idea that we all have different “parts” inside us — protective parts, overwhelmed parts, anxious parts, younger wounded parts, and the wise Self within.

    In IFS, you learn to:

    • understand why certain parts react the way they do

    • soothe and care for younger or hurt parts

    • release old beliefs or emotional burdens

    • build self-compassion and inner leadership

IFS is not pathologizing — it honors the complexity of your inner world and creates deep internal healing.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-healing approach that helps the brain process and release the emotional charge from past experiences. Through bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or auditory tones), stuck memories and emotional patterns become less intense and more resolved.

    Clients often use EMDR for:

    • trauma (single incident or complex)

    • anxiety and panic

    • attachment wounds

    • grief

    • negative self-beliefs

    • early childhood experiences

EMDR is always paced carefully and integrated with grounding and stabilization.

  • IADC (Induced After-Death Communication) is a specialized EMDR protocol developed specifically for healing grief. It can be integrated into ongoing therapy or offered as a short-term, stand-alone intervention consisting of two 90-minute sessions.

    IADC may support:

    • relief from traumatic or complicated grief

    • emotional resolution

    • a greater sense of peace after loss

    • comfort in cases of miscarriage, pet loss, or witnessing a death

While each person’s experience is unique, many clients report profound shifts in their grieving process.

  • No. IADC is not designed to guarantee after-death communication, nor does it make assumptions about what someone “should” experience. Instead, it helps reduce the emotional pain of grief and supports the brain in accessing relief, connection, and comfort in a safe, grounded way.

  • Somatic work involves gently helping you notice what is happening in your body — tension, breath, activation, numbness, or sensation — as part of your emotional experience. This helps regulate the nervous system, deepen self-awareness, and release stored patterns.

    Examples may include:

    • grounding practices

    • breath awareness

    • noticing sensations

    • connecting with emotion through the body

    • understanding stress responses

Somatic work is always gentle, optional, and paced at your comfort level.

  • Yes, when appropriate and desired by the client. Some individuals find it helpful when I reflect patterns, emotional themes, or energetic insights that arise during our work. This might involve:

    • chakra-based awareness

    • emotional/energetic pattern insight

    • intuitive reflection

    • symbolic or archetypal meaning

Everything is grounded, consent-based, and integrated within the therapeutic process. Clients who prefer a traditional therapy approach can absolutely work without this component.

  • Energy healing techniques may be woven into psychotherapy sessions when appropriate (as grounding, nervous-system soothing, parts work, or emotional support), but formal Reiki sessions are offered separately under Hummingbird Holistics. All energy-based work inside therapy remains gentle, supportive, and optional.

  • No specific belief system is required or assumed.  Clients of all backgrounds are welcome.

    I support clients who are:

    • spiritual

    • curious or questioning

    • not spiritual at all

    • exploring intuition or meaning

    • seeking a deeper understanding of themselves

The focus is on your experience, not a prescribed framework.

  • My areas of focus include:

    • trauma and PTSD

    • grief and loss (including IADC for bereavement)

    • anxiety and emotional overwhelm

    • burnout + identity transitions

    • highly sensitive or intuitive individuals

    • relationship patterns and attachment wounds

    • spiritual awakening or existential transitions

    • somatic and nervous-system healing

    • developmental or childhood wounds

  • You may be a good fit for my work if you are:

    • ready for deeper healing rather than surface strategies

    • open to exploring your inner world

    • sensitive, intuitive, or emotionally aware

    • drawn to somatic or mind-body approaches

    • navigating grief, trauma, or transition

    • curious about the spiritual or existential layers of your experience

I am not the right fit for individuals seeking strictly behavioral therapy, crisis stabilization, or court-mandated services.

  • Most clients meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on their needs. Sessions are either 50 minutes or 80-minutes, depending on what the client prefers and how often we meet.
The length of therapy varies — some clients work short-term on a specific issue, while others engage in longer, transformative work. We will discuss what feels right for you.

  • I do not accept any insurances at this time and am considered an out-of-pocket provider. I can provide you a superbill to submit to your insurance which can be applied to your deductible or your out-of-network coverage.

  • For a 50-minute individual counseling session, the rate is $140 and I also offer 80-minute sessions for $205.

  • I work with adults 18+ who have experienced some of the following: grief, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, and difficulty with relationships. I will incorporate spirituality within counseling if that is important to you and am allied with the LGBTQ population. ALL are welcome in my counseling sessions, and while I love kids, I have found my passion lies with helping young adults and older.

  • f you’re looking for Reiki, intuitive healing, or soul-based exploration outside the structure of psychotherapy, please visit HummingbirdHolistics.net or contact me directly to discuss the type of support you’re seeking. These services are offered separately and can be tailored to your needs.
